A Network of Friends
We might be individual, but that doesn’t mean we go it alone. Here you will find links to some other organisations and networks we partner with.
As a Baptist Church we are members of Baptists Together, a union of Baptist churches in England and Wales. Their website will tell you a little more about it means to be Baptist, or you could ask Simon who will tell you with great enthusiasm.
Left Bank Leeds is an arts and events venue in a former Anglican church in Hyde Park. We have a long history with Left Bank, and members of the community are still involved as trustees and volunteers, as well as regular attendees at events.
Inclusive Church is a group of Christians uniting together around a belief in “church which does not discriminate, on any level, on grounds of economic power, gender, mental health, physical ability, race or sexuality…church which welcomes and serves all people in the name of Jesus Christ; which is scripturally faithful; which seeks to proclaim the Gospel afresh for each generation; and which, in the power of the Holy Spirit, allows all people to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Jesus Christ” and we are members of that group.
OneBodyOneFaith works for the full inclusion of LGBT people in churches, and we are one of their visible congregations. That means that although we represent different understandings about faith and sexuality, some of our members are also members of OneBodyOneFaith, and share their statement of conviction. You can find out more about the work of OneBodyOneFaith on their website, or by speaking to Jamie or Ed at Revive.
Student Christian Movement
SCM is a student-led movement inspired by Jesus to act for justice and show God’s love in the world. We are one of their link churches.
Fusion is committed to championing a kingdom student movement through equipping students, serving churches, and developing student workers. We are also one of their link churches.
